Brockton is a community rich in cultural heritage; and it's our responsibility to preserve and protect what we've inherited from the past -- for the benefit of the present and the future.

Part of that responsibility lies in protecting heritage buildings, properties and neighbourhoods that have stood the test of time, and contributed to our beauty, culture and quality of life.

We are diligent in protecting our cultural heritage resources by: 

• Listing non-designated properties of cultural heritage value or interest on the Municipal Heritage Register.

• Designating properties under Part IV (individual) or Part V (heritage conservation districts) of the Ontario Heritage Act.

• Actively promoting our rich Heritage
