Zoning
Zoning classifies properties into categories such as: residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural. Each of these categories has legally enforceable regulations attached to them such as: allowable size of a property, location and size of buildings on the property, and number of parking spaces that must be provided.
The Municipality of Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-Law - By-Law 2013-026 is a legal document, which is used to control the use and development of properties and buildings.
Zoning compliance letters are available upon written request for a fee of $104.00 per roll number.
The County of Bruce has an Interactive Mapping software which allows users to search zoning information about any property in Bruce County.
Amendments to the Zoning By-law may be obtained from time to time by submitting an application to the County of Bruce Planning Department and obtaining the necessary approvals. Please visit our Zoning Amendments page for more information on past zoning amendments.
