Lake Communities
The beautiful Lake Communities are just a short drive northeast of Walkerton. The Marl Lakes consist of three interconnected lake areas, also known as Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake. They are privately owned and home to a mix of full-time residents and summer cottagers who enjoy lakefront living, fishing and boating in a close-knit community atmosphere.
The main sources of water for the lakes are natural springs and underground aquifers. Lake Rosalind provides water for the Marl Lakes, Marl Creek and the Saugeen River.
Residents have formed the Lake Rosalind Property Owners Association (LRPOA) which maintains an active executive with involvement at both local and regional levels. For more information visit their website at www.lakerosalind.ca.
