Agriculture and Farming

Agriculture is an important part of Brockton’s economy. Many farmers in the area have strong roots in Brockton, with some families farming the same land for over five generations.

Farmers in Brockton are forward thinking, innovative and take great pride in running their businesses.  Brockton is home to a number of agricultural service and processing businesses that help to keep our agricultural sector growing.

The products Brockton farmers produce range from the best of Bruce County beef to sweet maple syrup, delicious dairy, bountiful crops and the freshest local fruits and vegetables. Grey-Bruce Farmers Week is held every year in January in Elmwood. Visit www.greybrucefarmersweek.ca to learn more.
