- Support for Summer Science/Math/Environmental Camps
- Youth up to the age of 29 are eligible to apply
- Must be a resident of Brockton, however, the camp does not have to be in Brockton.
- Youth are eligible to receive 50% off the camp registration fee up to a maximum of $100 per person, per calendar year.
- Pre-approval of your application is required.

Early Investment in Education and Skills
The Municipality of Brockton offers the following funding program to assist Brockton residents to advance their skill set and support our businesses by providing workplace training for employees. This program is funded by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) to support education and skills training for residents and businesses for 2023 and 2024.
This program is intended to offer financial support to Brockton residents, who are looking to gain transferable skills, provided they meet the requirements as set out by the program parameters.

The parameters are as follows:
Support for Continuing Skills Development
- Support for general skills development and continuing education to include Early Childhood Education courses and programs. Does not include other post- secondary programs.
- Applicants must be a resident of the Municipality of Brockton.
- 50% of the registration fee to be refunded up to a maximum of $1,000 and may include required course materials. For example, text books, tools, etc. Applicants can apply more than once, for more than one course, not to exceed the $1,000 maximum funding.
- Course options may include as example: Project Management, business planning, computer literacy and skills, customer service, bookkeeping, and Water courses from WCWC.
- Pre-approval of your application is required.
- Proof that you have completed the program will be required to receive the funding.
- Limited funds are available.
- Applications are based on the calendar year and dependant on funding received for the program.
Support for Workplace Training
- Support for workplace training courses.
- Applicants must be a business in the Municipality of Brockton.
- Participants are eligible for 50% of the registration fee up to a maximum of $500 per employee, per year.
- Training courses must be relevant to the applicant’s workplace and may include health and safety, working at heights, first aid, etc.
- Pre-approval of your application is required.
- Proof that the employee has completed the program will be required.
- Limited funds are available.
- Opportunities for funding to assist in providing workshops and learning experiences based on science, math, environment, including water initiatives and trades to students in Brockton.
- Support for local/regional job fairs to support students in understanding opportunities for post- secondary/trades.
- Program or initiative must be able to primarily benefit Brockton students and neighbouring students within the same school or program.
- Examples of programs/initiatives that may be approved include investment in robotics tools or programs, transportation to Ontario Skills Competition or similar events, environmental tool kits or similar initiatives, support to fund science/math/environment and skilled trades workshops and learning events in the schools/or organizations.
- Maximum funding of up to $2,500 per school per calendar year.
- Program or initiative must be pre-approved for prior to receiving funding.
- Limited funds are available.
- Applications are dependent on funding received for the program.
Support for Early Childhood Education for Licensed Daycare Providers in Brockton
- Opportunities for funding to assist in providing learning experiences and educational resources based on science, math, environment, or technology. Examples can include investments in outdoor learning resources to encourage movement, science, math (counting, adding, subtracting), literacy (phonics, site words etc.), coding kits, building materials, sensory activities, ect.
- Organization must be a licenced childcare/daycare center.
- Maximum funding up to $500 per registered childcare center.
- Program or initiative must be pre-approved prior to receiving funding.
- Limited funds are available.
- Applications are dependent on funding received for the program.
Support for Youth Robotics Teams or Associated Classes
- Opportunities for funding to assist elementary schools in Brockton with materials needed for a robotics team or associated classes.
- Program and materials must be able to benefit a robotics team or associated classes specifically for the elementary school aged participants.
- Maximum funding of $1,000 per calendar year, per robotics team or associated classes for each school to cover the ongoing annual costs.
Support for Environmental Stewardship through Youth Funding
- Funding a salary up to a maximum of $5,000 to hire a youth summer student or summer intern with an interest in the environment and environmental initiatives, including those related to food, water, environmental stewardship or ecosystem sustainability. The funding is based on the calendar year.
Support for Safe Food Handling Courses
- Organizations must be registered non-profits or recognized Service Clubs/Legions.
- Eligible participants must be members of approve organizations and can have test fees (up to $100.00) fully reimbursed.
- Pre-approval of your application is required.
- Proof that you have successfully completed the program will be required to receive the funding.
Support for Smart Serve Training
- Eligible participants can have test fees ($44.95) fully reimbursed.
- Pre-approval of your application is required.
- Proof that you have successfully completed the program will be required to receive the funding.
Working Collaboratively with Communities
- Support for Traditional Knowledge related education.
- Must occur in Brockton.

One eligible Council supported group or committee, non-profit or recognized service clubs is eligible for up to a maximum of $3000.00 per calendar year.
