Council Renumeration

Brockton Council Members are paid an annual wage and their council related expenses are reimbursed.

Council remuneration provides an incentive for community members to hold public office and shows appreciation for those that dedicate their time and energy to the work of Council and the Municipality.

The Province of Ontario's Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 authorizes municipalities to pay remuneration and expenses to councillors.
