Council Meeting Highlights - April 8, 2025

• Community branding for Brockton’s settlement areas of Cargill, Chepstow and Elmwood will be developed to aid businesses in meeting grant eligibility criteria.
• The 2025 Court Security and Prisoner Transportation Grant and impact on Brockton taxpayers was discussed. Additional advocacy efforts will continue with the Province and Bruce County.
• Self-directed reflections will occur to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Walkerton water contamination.
• Tenders were accepted for a tandem axle plow truck, single surface treatment, and structure 16 (Brant).
• The Hanover/Walkerton Landfill will be expanding with the addition of Cell 3. Brockton will continue to discuss the financial impact to taxpayers.

• The next regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
