The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. Council Meeting Highlights - December 10, 2024

• Council received a delegation from B.M. Ross and Associates Limited regarding the Saugeen Riverbank erosion, and selected a new preferred option given updated information from the engineers.
• Council approved proceeding with Development Charges, giving first and second reading to the By-Law which will be fully enacted in 2025.
• The Municipality entered into a revised agreement with the County of Bruce for municipal planning services.
• The Municipality renewed its contract with Bruce Service, Sales and Rental Inc. for weekly curbside collection.
• Year-end transfers to reserve funds were authorized for various departments to prepare for future expenditures.

Upcoming Council Meetings (2025 Budget)

Council will hold Special Council Meetings to consider the 2025 Municipal Budget on the following dates:

• Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
• Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.

These meetings will be held in a hybrid format in-person at the Bruce County Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. 

Meeting Information

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
