Council Highlights - February 11, 2025

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for a Special Council Meeting to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget followed by a regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Both meetings were held at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. Council Meeting Highlights - February 11, 2025

• Council adopted the 2025 Municipal Budget with a tax rate of $4.17% and a total levy of $13,283,911.00 resulting in an average household increase of $109.32/yearly and $9.11/monthly.
• Council will continue to discuss the future of the Saugeen Municipal Airport with the Town of Hanover and Municipality of West Grey.
• The 2024 Year-End Fire and Emergency Services Report and 2024 Building Department Report were received.
• Brockton Facade Improvement Guidelines were adopted for future business facade improvement projects.
• The March 18, 2025 Council Meeting was rescheduled to occur at 7:30 p.m. following a Public Meeting and Committee of Adjustment Meeting.

Upcoming Council Meetings

• Council will hold a regular Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
• As noted in the Council Highlights, the Tuesday, March 18, 2025 regular Council Meeting has been rescheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. 

These meetings will be held in a hybrid format in-person at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
