Council Highlights - January 13 & 14, 2025

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., and on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for Special Council Meetings to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget. A Committee of Adjustment Meeting was also held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  All meetings were held at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. Council Meeting Highlights - January 13 and 14, 2025

• Council held two Budget Meetings on January 13th and 14th. An additional Budget Meeting will be held on February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
• The Walkerton and Elmwood Fire Departments received a Fire Protection Grant to assist with cancer prevention initiatives.
• Council received the 2024 Brockton Accomplishments report, listing various activities completed by all departments during the year.
• The Municipality extends our gratitude to the Cargill and District Community Fund for their generous donation towards the Cargill Community Centre.
• The January 28, 2025 Council Meeting has been cancelled.

Upcoming Council Meetings

• As noted in the Council Highlights, the Tuesday, January 28, 2025 7:00 p.m. regular Council Meeting has been cancelled.
• Council will hold an additional Special Council Meeting to consider the 2025 Municipal Budget on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.

These meetings will be held in a hybrid format in-person at the Bruce County Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. 

Meeting Information

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.

Agendas are posted the Friday prior to the Council meeting. The video recording of the meeting is posted following the Council meeting on our Current Council Meeting Agenda webpage and the individual Council Meeting Calendar Event.
