Special Council Meeting (Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Review) - 6:00 p.m.:
This Special Council Meeting was held to discuss the review and update of the Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-Law. The intent of this update is to review the existing planning framework to incorporate new policy direction following recent changes to provincial legislation and to align with the Bruce County Official Plan and consider local planning issues that impact Brockton's community. Council Meeting Highlights - March 18, 2025
- J.L. Richards presented on the Walkerton Community Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-Law Review.
- A two-year progress update on the Recreation Master Services and Facilities Plan was provided.
- Infrastructure repairs are occurring to the Centennial Park pavilion and Centennial Pool boiler in Walkerton, and the Cargill Community Centre.
- Council approved maintaining the heritage designation on the Henry Cargill “White” House, refusing the application by owners to repeal the designation by-law.
- A 2024 year-end update on the progress of the Strategic Action Plan was provided.

- The next regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
