Livestock Evaluator Expression of Interest

The Municipality of Brockton is seeking individuals to serve as a Livestock Evaluator for the Municipality of Brockton, responsible under the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program to conduct a thorough investigation within 72 hours of being notified of livestock, poultry, and/or honey bees that have been damaged or killed by wildlife. The Evaluator/investigator must ensure all relevant evidence is documented through detailed colour photos and a complete application form.

Livestock Evaluators are required on an infrequent basis throughout the year, and the Evaluator will receive compensation for their services. Individuals will be appointed as a Livestock Evaluator for approximately two years (2025 to 2026).

Applicants must possess: a camera, ability to email photos, ability to complete a form accurately and ability to submit or drop off all documentation to the Clerk’s Department within the 72-hour timeframe.

If you are interested in serving as a Livestock Evaluator for the Municipality, please submit a letter of interest to the Clerk’s Department by email, or by mail or in-person to the Municipal Office located at 100 Scott Street, PO Box 68, Walkerton, ON N0G 2V0. The expression of interest should include your name and contact information, an indication of your interest in the position and relevant qualifications. Applications will be accepted until April 14, 2025 at Noon.
