Press Release - Brockton Hires Manager Child Care Services

Brockton, Ontario (March 19, 2025) - The Municipality of Brockton is pleased to announce the hiring of Carri-Ann Scott as the incoming Manager, Child Care Services for the Brockton Child Care Centre. 

Carri-Ann has been a faculty member at the University of Guelph-Humber & Humber Polytechnic where she taught the next generation of child care teachers and early childhood professionals. As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with over 20 years of leadership experience and extensive work in child care and early learning, Carri-Ann brings a strong background in program development, fiscal management, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and team mentorship. Carri-Ann boasts an outstanding educational background, including an Early Childhood Education Diploma, International Montessori Teaching Diploma, Honours Bachelor of Applied Science - Early Childhood Studies, Master of Educational Technology, and she currently is a Candidate for Doctor of Philosophy, Sociology. 

As the Manager, Child Care Services, Carri-Ann will be responsible for the overall strategic management and operations of the Brockton Child Care Centre (BCCC) ensuring strict compliance with the Child Care & Early Years Act, the Ministry of Education, County of Bruce Children Services, Grey Bruce Public Health, and other applicable regulatory bodies. This position will also oversee the yearly budget and human resource activities and provides leadership in the childcare sector as the Municipality plans for the future as the community of Brockton continues to grow.
