Spring, Summer and Fall in Brockton

Centennial Swimming Pool

Walkerton Centennial Pool is located in Walkerton, ON. To rent Centennial for a private event please visit our facility rental page. For more information on public swimming and swimming lessons, please click here.

Baseball Diamonds

Diamonds can be found at Cargill Community Centre, Elmwood Community Centre, Lobies Park and Walkerton Community Centre. Please click here for more details including addresses, lighting, booking diamonds and more.

Kinsmen Splash Pad

The Kinsmen Splash Pad is located in Centennial Park, 1 James Street, Walkerton. The splash pad is open from Victoria Day Weekend (weather dependent), and open daily from 9:00am to dusk.

Tennis and Pickleball Courts

Located in Centennial Park at 1 James Street, Walkerton. 1 Tennis court, 3 Pickleball courts and Coin Operated lights. If interested in purchasing a Seasonal Membership or Drop-in Pass, please click here.

Bruce Power Soccer Fields

Fishing

Home to both the Saugeen and Teeswater Rivers, Brockton offers first-class fly fishing with an abundance of trout, bass, and pike. Learn more about the region's fishing opportunities, including information about licenses, by clicking here.

Paddling

Winter in Brockton

Cross County Ski Trails

Municipality of Brockton's cross country ski trails are located along the Saugeen River Trail (between Tim Horton's and West River Road in Walkerton), and also at the Walkerton Community Centre, 290 Durham Street West.

Skating Oval

The outdoor Skating Oval is located at The Walkerton Community Centre, most often during the month of January. The opening of the Skating Oval is weather dependent; please stay posted on Brockton's social media accounts.

Snowmobiling

Walkerton is located in the district 9 snowmobile trail area which boasts miles of wide open trails. A short drive from major city centres in Ontario make this a perfect destination for the avid snowmobiler. More information can be found by clicking here!

Skating Oval Information

The Outdoor Skating Oval is currently closed. The Skating Oval is dependent on weather conditions, and all updates will be posted on social media.

Skating Oval Guidelines:

- Obey all posted signs
- No horseplay
- CSA approved helmets recommended
- Hockey and/or sporting equipment is not permitted
- No toe picking
- Use permitted only during posted hours
- Trail is slippery, only patrons with skates permitted
- Animals are prohibited on ice surface
- Trail is unsupervised, children must be accompanied by an adult

Washrooms are available at the Walkerton Community Centre. Skate rentals are not available.
