    The Municipality of Brockton has been informed that hydro may be intermittent as professionals work to fully resolve the issue. The hydro is expected to be fully restored today. We ask residents to please be patient as full restoration efforts continue. The Municipality will provide updates in the near future.

    The Municipality of Brockton is aware of the hydro outage in Walkerton and some surrounding areas. Professionals are currently investigating the outage. At this time, it is unknown what time hydro will be restored to the community. The Municipality will provide updates in the near future.

  • Pre-Authorized Payment Plan Process During Canada Post Strike

    The Municipality of Brockton encourages residents that are currently enrolled in Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) plans to contact the Municipality of Brockton by December 13, 2024 to obtain your PAP amounts for December 2024 and predicted 2025 PAP amounts. Due to the ongoing Canada Postal Strike, the Municipality will not be sending letters to residents to inform them of these PAP amounts. Read our News Post for more information.

  • Walkerton Snow Removal - December 4 and 5, 2024

    Municipal staff will be clearing excess snow from streets in Walkerton on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, and Thursday, December 5, 2024 starting at 12:30 a.m. Please ensure all vehicles are off the roads to assist with snow clearing. Any vehicle obstructing the removal of snow will be towed at the owner’s expense. Read our News Post for more information.

    The Municipality is experiencing some challenges in maintaining roads due to vehicles being parked overnight. We ask residents to please refrain from parking on roads to ensure our plows can effectively clear snow, and maintain roads during the winter.     The Greenock Transfer Station is closed today, Saturday, November 30, 2024 due to the weather conditions. The Brant Landfill will remain open for residents. Thank you for your cooperation.
