Lot 1 is proposed to be rezoned to permit industrial uses to expand the East Ridge Business Park. The remaining Lots 2-6 are proposed to be rezoned for residential uses: Lot 2 would contain townhouse units, Lot 3 is currently proposed to be a residential hospice facility, Lots 8 & 9 are proposed to have multi-unit apartment buildings, and Lot 10 is proposed to include a retirement care home and mixed residential uses. All of these developments support a need in the community and help to increase the supply of alternative housing types in Brockton. All of these lands are currently zoned industrial and would need to be changed to a form of residential zoning.

In seeking to rezoning these lands, Brockton has responsibly planned for long-term economic growth while also encouraging necessary residential uses of significant overall benefit to the community.
