The Municipality of Brockton is currently recruiting for members on four (4) Committees: Accessibility Advisory Committee, Brockton Child Care Centre Committee, Brockton Parks and Recreation Committee, and Elmwood Community Centre Board.   • Notice of Special Council Meeting - Comprehensive Zoning By-Law and Official Plan Review

    The Municipality of Brockton is undertaking a review and update of its Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

    Take notice that on Tuesday March 18, 2025 the Council of the Municipality of Brockton will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 26 of the Planning Act, to provide an opportunity to discuss the Official Plan and Zoning By-law review, process and any revisions that may be required to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

  • Council Highlights - February 11, 2025

    The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for a Special Council Meeting to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget followed by a regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Both meetings were held at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.   • Ontario Investing $6.3 Million to Train Skilled Workers in Walkerton

    The Ontario government is investing $6,336,435 through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) to support the development of a new training facility in Walkerton for LiUNA Local 1059. Read the News Post for more information.

  • Notice of Application by Owner to Repeal Designation By-Law Under Ontario Heritage Act
    The Council of the Municipality of Brockton hereby gives Notice that it has received an owner’s application to repeal By-law No. 88-15, which designates 12 Concession 10, Cargill (Henry Cargill "White" House) as being of heritage value or interest under the Ontario Heritage Act.   • Council Highlights - January 13 & 14, 2025

    The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., and on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for Special Council Meetings to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget.
