  • Notice of Special Council Meeting - Comprehensive Zoning By-Law and Official Plan Review

    The Municipality of Brockton is undertaking a review and update of its Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

    Take notice that on Tuesday March 18, 2025 the Council of the Municipality of Brockton will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 26 of the Planning Act, to provide an opportunity to discuss the Official Plan and Zoning By-law review, process and any revisions that may be required to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

  • Ontario Investing $6.3 Million to Train Skilled Workers in Walkerton

    The Ontario government is investing $6,336,435 through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) to support the development of a new training facility in Walkerton for LiUNA Local 1059. Read the News Post for more information.

  • Notice of Application by Owner to Repeal Designation By-Law Under Ontario Heritage Act
    The Council of the Municipality of Brockton hereby gives Notice that it has received an owner’s application to repeal By-law No. 88-15, which designates 12 Concession 10, Cargill (Henry Cargill "White" House) as being of heritage value or interest under the Ontario Heritage Act.   • Council Highlights - January 13 & 14, 2025

    The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., and on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for Special Council Meetings to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget. A Committee of Adjustment Meeting was also held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m. Read the News Post to view the Council Highlights from the Council Meeting.

  • Addendum to January 14, 2025 Budget Meeting Agenda

    An addendum was posted to the Tuesday, January 14, 2025 Special Council Meeting (2025 Budget) Agenda. The revised agenda is available available on our Current Council Meeting Agenda webpage. The meeting will be conducted at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton, ON N0G 2V0) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

    At the December 10, 2024, Council Meeting, Brockton Council approved proceeding with Development Charges, granting both the first and second readings to the related By-Law.
