Due to the impending inclement weather expected, as of 12:00 p.m. today, the Municipality of Brockton has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Municipality will be in a "state of repair" until further notice. Read the News Post for more information.

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. for a Special Council Meeting to discuss the 2025 Municipal Budget followed by a regular Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Both meetings were held at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. The Municipality of Brockton is undertaking a review and update of its Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

Take notice that on Tuesday March 18, 2025 the Council of the Municipality of Brockton will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 26 of the Planning Act, to provide an opportunity to discuss the Official Plan and Zoning By-law review, process and any revisions that may be required to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

The Municipality of Brockton is pleased to announce that we are a successful recipient of the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC’s) Housing Accelerator Fund. We are pleased to receive access to $3.4 million in funding which can be allocated towards infrastructure that supports new and existing residents, supports programs and policies to advance needed units, and increases the available supply for attainably priced units in the growing community of Brockton.
